Emaww.com Emotion Matter Podcast Sophie Wade Frustrations at Work

Are you happily employed? Listen to what Sophie Wade had to say about ending all the frustrations at your workplace.

Q1-02:08: Sophie, back in 2014 you wrote an article “Behind the rise of entrepreneurship” which is very popular, but before we get to that, tell us what’s behind the rise of Sophie Wade?

Q2-03:37: Do you think that living in different countries influenced any of the ideas that you have now? Did you see anything happening in the corporate world at that time? Are your ideas more Western, are you pulling them from other cultures?

Q3-05:01: You’re the founder of the Flexcel Network. Tell us something about motivation and aims of your company.

Q4-11:57: How does one who’s already in that system make that change into that kind of environment?

Q5-16:09: In another article that you wrote called “Find your zen at work” you’ve said that about 70% of US employees in 2013 aren’t happily employed. How important do you think are emotions in a person’s work experience?

Q6-24:07: How do you help these companies transition in your role as a guide in all this?

Q7-33:23: As a President of National Association of Women Business Owners you have insights in the presence of women in the world of business which was not long ago reserved for men only. How is the situation today? How do you see it in the future?

Q8-37:50: Women have a greater sense of empathy. Do you also think that’s an old world view?

Q9-41:23: One of our listeners, Jane from Denver is a fresh business owner. She wants to find a way to deal with male competitors who always try to “push” her out of the way with an aggressive approach. How can I woman compete in that situation?

Q10-46:01: What should we expect from you in 2017 and where can we hear or read more of your thoughts?

It is important to be happy at work. As a leader you need to create a less stressful environment and engage with your workers. You will have a competitive advantage if you engage with your workers and get the best out of them. If your workers are more happy at work and not stressed, your productivity will increase. So happy worker, more productivity.

I really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I can now take away that you can find a career that you also honestly enjoy and not just do the work for the paycheck. You just have to understand who you are, how you work, and when you work best.
